Solar Components has been manufacturing 90% visual light-transmitting fiberglass tanks for over 30 years. These tanks are made from our specialized material Sun-Lite®.
*High Light transmission accelerates the growth of algae or other organisms.
*You can see through the sidewall to inspect the contents.
These tanks have been in use worldwide for many diversified applications from growing algae for conversion to bio-fuels or algae for "feed" in the aquaculture industry. The tanks are also being used as "growth chambers" for culturing shrimp, rotifers, clams, lobsters, scallops, finfish, etc. We manufacture flat bottom tanks, conical bottom tanks, knock down tanks, biofilters and protein skimmers. Our product is extremely light weight, shatterproof, non-corrosive, 90% transparent, economical, and available in custom sizes.

Our flat bottom tanks are available from 12" diameter
to 20' diameter and up to 10' tall. These unique translucent tanks are ideal for
algae cultivation, finfish growout, hydroponics, biological wastewater
treatment, and other general containment needs. Diameters may vary
slightly for nesting purposes during shipping.

Our
Trickle-Down Biofilter is ideal for de-gassing, oxygenating, or removing ammonia
from your closed-loop recirculating system. Each unit comes complete with 1-1/2"
outlet drain, bottom support grate, middle drip plate, top drip plate, and
friction fit removable cover. Just add your own fitting in the top cover
and media (i.e. bio-balls, tripaks, coke rings, etc.) and you're ready to
go! Sizes range from 12" to 60" diameter and up to 10' tall.

Our conical tanks provide total fluid drainage and are ideal for
artemia or brine shrimp culture. All units come standard with a two inch female
threaded PVC fitting. Cone pitches available: 20, 45, and 60 degrees. Sizes

Our knock down tanks are available in kit form with all
the materials necessary for simple on-site assembly. We provide a rugged
.090"thick translucent sidewall and base sections. Our specially formulated two
part epoxy allows for easy assembly. Our 20' knock down tank can be economically
shipped. Each kit comes complete with instructions and materials. Sizes range
from 8' to 20' diameter and up to 5' tall.
